Product Details

Beasy 5mg tablets contain Montelukast Sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) used primarily for the treatment of asthma. Montelukast works by blocking chemicals in the body (called leukotrienes) that cause the airways to narrow, reducing inflammation and helping to prevent asthma attacks.

Purposes

• Asthma: Helps manage asthma symptoms by reducing inflammation in the airways.
• Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Used to relieve symptoms of allergies that occur throughout the year.
• Acute Prevention of Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction: Prevents narrowing of the airways triggered by exercise.
• Relief of Allergic Rhinitis Symptoms: Eases symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose caused by allergies.

Warnings

• Abrupt Discontinuation: Montelukast should not be abruptly substituted for inhaled or oral corticosteroids.
• Aspirin-Sensitive Asthma: Treatment with Beasy 5mg does not reduce the need for aspirin-sensitive asthma patients to avoid aspirin and other NSAIDs.
• Neuropsychiatric Events: Patients should be monitored for signs of mood changes or other neuropsychiatric events. Notify a healthcare professional if any such symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Acute Asthma Attacks: Beasy 5mg should not be used for the treatment of acute asthma attacks. A short-acting inhaled β-agonist should be used for this purpose.
• Rescue Medication: Always keep your usual rescue medication available, and seek medical advice if you require more inhalations of short-acting β-agonists than usual.

Storage

Store at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.

Dosage 

Take Beasy 5mg exactly as prescribed. Do not use for acute asthma attacks; keep a rescue inhaler readily available.

Consult your doctor before taking Beasy 5mg if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
