Betaloc Zok Tablets 100mg contain Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-blocker that is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris (chest pain due to blocked arteries), arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), and symptoms of thyrotoxicosis (overactive thyroid).

Metoprolol works by blocking certain natural chemicals in the body, such as epinephrine, which affect the heart and blood vessels. This reduces the heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and reduces the strain on the heart.

Purposes

• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Helps reduce high blood pressure, preventing complications such as stroke and heart disease.
• Angina Pectoris (Chest Pain): Eases chest pain caused by narrowed heart arteries.
• Arrhythmia (Irregular Heartbeat): Helps stabilize heart rhythm.

Drug Interactions
