Product Details

Byscard Tablets contain Nebivolol HCl (10mg), a β1-selective adrenoceptor antagonist, primarily used for the treatment of hypertension and chronic heart failure. Its unique action includes a mild vasodilating effect due to its interaction with the L-arginine/nitric oxide pathway, a property not seen in other β-blockers. Unlike traditional β-blockers, nebivolol does not cause a1-adrenergic receptor blockade or intrinsic sympathomimetic activity at therapeutic doses.

Purposes

• Hypertension: Helps lower high blood pressure by reducing the workload on the heart.
• Chronic Heart Failure: Used alongside other treatments for managing heart failure in elderly patients.
