Product Details

Esante Capsules 20mg contain the active ingredient Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the treatment of conditions such as heartburn, GERD, gastritis, and ulcers. By inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase in the stomach's proton pump, Esomeprazole reduces the secretion of hydrochloric acid, thereby altering gastric pH and providing relief from acid-related issues.

Esante Capsules 20mg are primarily used to treat acidity, ulcers, and related gastrointestinal conditions. The medication helps in managing symptoms of heartburn and GERD by reducing the production of stomach acid, promoting healing of the esophagus and stomach lining, and preventing the development of ulcers.

Warnings

• Long-term use of Esante Capsules 20mg may lead to hypomagnesemia, a condition characterized by low magnesium levels in the blood.
• Prolonged use, especially at high doses, may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist, or spine.
• Avoid using Esante Capsules 20mg in conjunction with clopidogrel, as this may reduce the effectiveness of clopidogrel.

Adverse Effects

Common side effects of Esante Capsules 20mg include headache, gastrointestinal upset, and dry mouth. Rare but serious adverse effects may include angioedema, anaphylaxis, and skin reactions. In very rare cases, the use of Esomeprazole can lead to fundic gland polyps.
