Product Details
Manipram 20 mg Tablets contain Citalopram HBr, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) commonly used to treat depression. The antidepressant effects of citalopram are believed to be linked to the enhancement of serotonin activity in the central nervous system (CNS). By inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin (5-HT) in neurons, citalopram increases the availability of this neurotransmitter, which helps improve mood and emotional stability. Citalopram is particularly known for its specificity in targeting serotonin pathways, with minimal effects on norepinephrine (NE) and dopamine (DA) reuptake.
