Voniza Tablets 10mg contain the active ingredient Vonoprazan, a potassium competitive acid blocker (P-CAB). This medication works by inhibiting H+, K+-ATPase in a reversible and potassium-competitive manner. Unlike other acid reducers, Vonoprazan does not require activation by acid, allowing it to inhibit gastric acid production more effectively. It remains on the acid production site of gastric parietal cells for an extended period, providing strong protection against mucosal damage in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
Purposes
The primary purpose of Voniza Tablets 10mg is to manage conditions related to gastric acid, including gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and reflux esophagitis. Additionally, it is used to prevent the recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcers during low-dose aspirin or NSAID administration.
Warnings

- If long-term healing is achieved and there is no risk of recurrence, the dosage should be reduced from 20mg to 10mg or discontinued.
- Patients with renal disorders should use this medication cautiously, as delayed excretion may lead to increased blood concentrations of Vonoprazan, potentially causing adverse effects.
