Product Details
Lamisil Tablets 125 mg contain terbinafine, a potent allylamine antifungal. Terbinafine is effective against a wide range of fungi, including dermatophytes, molds, and certain dimorphic fungi. It works by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, which interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption causes the accumulation of squalene and the depletion of ergosterol, leading to fungal cell death.
