Product Details

ROCEXON 1gm Injection 1s contains Ceftriaxone (Na) 1g, a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by interfering with the bacteria’s cell wall formation, causing it to break down and stopping bacterial growth. It is a potent, broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat serious infections caused by bacteria.

Purposes

Bacterial Meningitis

Used to treat bacterial meningitis, an inflammation of the protective membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Neisseria meningitidis.

Bacterial Septicemia

Effective against bacterial septicemia, a blood infection caused by bacteria like Staphylococci and Streptococcus pyogenes.

Gonococcal Infection

Treats gonococcal infections, a sexually transmitted infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Urinary Tract Infections

Used to treat urinary tract infections caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterococci.

Pneumonia

Treats community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.

Bone and Joint Infections

Effective for treating bone and joint infections like septic arthritis and osteomyelitis.

Skin and Structure Infections

Treats skin and structure infections like cellulitis and wound infections caused by Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.

Warnings

  • Pregnancy: Not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary.

  • Neonates: Not recommended for patients under 28 days old.
