Uriflow 0.4mg Capsules contain the active ingredient tamsulosin hydrochloride, a member of the alpha-adrenoreceptor antagonist class. These capsules are specifically designed to address symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). By targeting muscle contractions in the prostate and urethra, Uriflow helps to relax these muscles, making it easier for urine to flow through the urethra and improving urination.

Purposes

Uriflow 0.4mg Capsules are used for the management of lower urinary tract symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The medication helps to alleviate issues such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying by reducing the contraction of smooth muscle in the prostate and urethra.

Warnings

• Uriflow may lead to ejaculation disorders, including retrograde ejaculation (semen entering the urinary bladder) and difficulty in ejaculating. Consult your doctor if you experience any of these issues.
• Before starting Uriflow, inform your healthcare provider if you have severe kidney problems.
• If you are about to undergo eye surgery for cataracts or glaucoma, discuss with your doctor how Uriflow might affect you.

Adverse Effects

Common side effects of  Capsules may include:

• Dizziness
• Ejaculation disorders

Less common side effects could be:

• Headache
• Palpitations
• Orthostatic hypotension (dizziness upon standing)
• Rhinitis
• Gastrointestinal disturbances

Rarely, some individuals may experience fainting. If any of these symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice promptly.

Cautions

• Uriflow can cause dizziness or fainting, especially when changing positions. If you experience these symptoms, sit or lie down until you feel better.
• Ensure you are not allergic to tamsulosin or any of the ingredients in Uriflow. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include swelling, difficulty breathing, or rash.
